Tram Theatre, founded in 2011, as an Object Theatre company based in New Delhi & Mumbai, India was became a public charitable trust, registered with the Government of India in 2016 under the name of Tram Arts Trust.
In 2015, Tram revived it’s 2nd production (first created in 2013), an adaptation of Alice In Wonderland and further reworked it for most part of the year. It reopened in at the Kids Club in Mumbai in October, before going on to tour in Pittsburgh, U.S.A. in November 2015 as part of the India-In-Focus Festival & Bridge Theatre Series festivals, both organized by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
Tram currently has 3 running Object Theatre productions – ‘Alice In Wonderland’ which combined object theatre, with object puppetry and shadows;
‘A Bird’s Eye View’ – object theatre and paintings; ‘Obejcts In The Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear’ – Object Theatre & Movement.
Tram Arts Trust is also conducting object theatre workshops with theatre artists, teachers and students regularly. They are currently starting work on their 5th new production.
